Who we are

This website belongs to GS Mechanics, a mobile mechanic service covering North West London. If you have any questions about your details, email gsmechanics@gmail.com or call +447355904816.

What we collect

When you use our booking or contact form, we collect what you type in: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the service, date and time you ask for, and your message. We don’t ask for anything else, and we don’t sell your details to anyone.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to you, arrange and carry out the work you ask for, and keep a record of it. The legal basis is that you’ve asked us to contact you about a service (steps before a contract), and our legitimate interest in keeping simple records of our work.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts this website and passes form messages on to us. It also protects the site from spam and attacks.
• Our enquiry and email tools, which store your message so we can reply.
• Google Maps shows the map on our Contact page. Google may set cookies when the map loads; see Google’s own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years, and records of work we’ve done for as long as we need them for warranties and accounts (usually six years). After that we delete them.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use its own tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies come from the Google map on the Contact page, as described above.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, object to how we use them, or ask us to stop using them. Email us and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
